Before School Targeted Services
South Washington County Schools Targeted Services provide K-8 students with access to summer and extended day experiences that advance achievement, strengthen connections within the school community, and affirm potential.
Targeted services instruction is designed to maximize student success and engagement. A variety of classes, taught by licensed teachers at no cost to families, incorporate STEM, literacy, mathematics, physical activity, computer science, the arts, and social/emotional learning. The curriculum is scaffolded to provide students with opportunities for support and enrichment as they advance through grade-level standards. Teachers collaborate annually with families of eligible students to develop Continual Learning Plans (CLPs) that define individualized goals and communicate progress.
