Grey Cloud Elementary School has been recognized nationally as a 2020 Blue Ribbon School by the U.S Department of Education.
Grey Cloud Elementary School serves students in Preschool through fifth grades and is part of South Washington County Schools. At Grey Cloud Elementary, teachers and staff members focus on supporting student success by offering a warm and welcoming environment.

Voters in the South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) district did not approve the $462.6 million bond request.
Minnesota offers two valuable tax benefits for parents who purchase school supplies for their K-12 students through the K-12 Education Credit and Subtraction. These benefits can reduce parents’ taxes to increase their refund, but is only available for those who keep their receipts. Purchases for most school supplies, field trips and musical instruments for school band are eligible.
For the 2022-23 school year, COVID-19 will require a response in the same way we address communicable diseases (flu, rotavirus, etc.). SoWashCo Schools will follow communicable disease procedures from local public health agencies and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Due to nationwide shortages of certain food items, SoWashCo Schools menus may not accurately reflect what will be served that day. When possible, the Department of Nutrition Services will replace meals with similar choices and avoid any additional allergens. Please follow the guidelines below to remain aware of ongoing changes, especially if your child has any allergies or dietary restrictions.
Starting fall 2022, there will be several important changes to meal services at South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools). School breakfast and lunches will no longer be free for all students due to the expiration of federal United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) waivers.
South Washington County Schools is pleased to provide families with an easy way to complete online forms and review and update household contact information for the 2022-23 school year. All families must complete this update between July 15 and Aug. 1.

Over the next 10 years, more than 3,500 potential new K-12 students are expected to move into the district. Current projections show that 15 schools will be over capacity and we will have a deficit of nearly 2,500 K-12 seats for students by 2031 if we do nothing. To help, SoWashCo Schools will ask voters to consider approval of a $462.6 million bond on Aug. 9, 2022.

SoWashCo Schools is debuting a new online school boundary tool that will make it easier for families to determine which school their child will attend based on their home address.
The new mapping tool makes it easy for families to type in their address to find their elementary, middle or high school boundary. Users can even zoom in on a specific street to see which boundary school is designated for that area.
On Thursday, April 21, the school board approved the South Washington County Schools 10-year facility plan.

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) released student graduation rates for 2021. The four-year graduation rate for South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) continues to surpass the state average with 92% of students graduating on time.
