In late May, the South Washington County School District will be asking students in the 5th, 8th, 9th and 11th grades to participate in the 2016 Minnesota Student Survey.
The South Washington County School’s orchestra program held the third annual District Orchestra Festival Sunday, April 17th at 4:00 pm at Woodbury High School. There to celebrate the orchestra festival was the 5th, 8th, and 9th-12th grade orchestra students from each of the district’s elementary, middle, and high schools. The audience heard each grade level perform individually and then heard a mass piece with over 400 students playing together. The orchestra staff greatly thanks the administration, school board, and the public for their support to the orchestra program over the last ten years and for the opportunity to continue to grow in the future.
MCA Testing begins April 18th. Please check the attached schedule to see when your child will be testing.
The District 833 School Board recently approved changing the last day of school for students at Grey Cloud Elementary from June 10, 2016 to June 9, 2016 to provide time for staff to prepare for the HVAC replacement construction that will be taking place at our school over the summer of 2016.
The entire contents of our school must be packed up and moved into storage trailers in order for construction to begin on Monday, June 14. Time is of the essence with this project in order to ensure that construction is completed in time for school to begin in September.
We appreciate your understanding with this change in the last day of school to Thursday, June 9.
